• No Cloud Uploads: Your PDFs, EPUBs, and pasted texts are processed exclusively in your device's RAM. No files are ever sent to any remote server.
• Local Storage: Book progress, page indexes, and scratchpad notes are saved securely in your browser's private localStorage and IndexedDB.

2. Open-Source Libraries & Attributions

This application integrates the following open-source modules and libraries:

• TTS Function: Open-source Text-to-Speech synthesis (MIT License / Web Speech API).
• PDF.js: Mozilla's client-side PDF rendering engine (Apache 2.0).
• ePub.js & JSZip: Client-side book extraction (MIT / GPL).
• LocalForage: Offline client-side storage abstraction (Apache 2.0).

3. Text-to-Speech Processing

Speech synthesis runs locally on your device hardware using your browser's integrated speech engine with zero remote audio recording.
